How to Correctly Apply Thermal Grease
I tried searching for this old article again in HardwareSecrets.com, but couldn’t find it. Googling didn’t work either as I forgot the exact title. (Googling it with "Thermal paste" takes you to LOTS of forums.) Luckily for me, I had saved pages of it in my HDD months before when I had no connection to the Internet. I clicked on one of the pages’ links and voila! it took me to the article.
Anyway, for my benefit (and to readers of this site) I’ll post it here in case I forget again in the future. Here’s how to correctly apply thermal grease to your overheating old CPUs. Why it’s important is explained in the article too so read on.
